Warehouse Supervisor (Responsabile Magazzino)

Title: Warehouse supervisor
Report to: Production Manager and Accounting Manager
Location: HQ, Pavona di Albano Laziale (Rome, Italy)

Job Summary

The candidate supervises and coordinates activities of workers in relation to providing receiving, inventorying, issuing, and control of parts in the warehouse. Train and appraise warehouse employees.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities for this role include:

  • Plans the layout of the warehouse considering turnover, size, weight and related factors of items stored;
  • Establish departmental procedures and standards;
  • Reviews transaction records and assures required accuracy level is maintained;
  • Advises employees on care and handling of items received, stored and issued;
  • Responsible for the security and accountability of goods within jurisdiction, including cycle count activity and disposition;
  • Participates in establishing and modifying operational methods and procedures by recommending changes in materials, equipment and procedures;
  • Maintains a variety of records, reports and documentation to reflect the department activities;
  • Responsible for the employment, training, employee motivation and discipline of assigned employees;
  • Reports to: the Production Manager for production-warehouse related duties, whereas to the Accounting Manager for all policies and procedures concerning warehouse accountancy operations

Additional Duties

  • Implement, coordinate, contribute and assist with other projects as assigned, including team participation

Required Qualification. Education and Experience

The requirements listed below represent the knowledge and skill/experience required:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Advanced communication skills in ENGLISH
  • 2-4 years experience in warehouse/shipping/receiving work environment
  • Extensive knowledge of material handling processes
  • Previous supervisory or lead position experience preferred
  • Good verbal/written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and proficiency using the Microsoft Office software package (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and desirable knowledge of Microsoft Dynamic Navision modules and functionality
  • Results oriented, highly motivated and enthusiastic team player and able to work independently
  • Determined character, resolute and independent in actions and ideas.

Hours of work

  • 8 hours per day: 8.30 am – 17.30 pm (full-time)
