"Walking With The Wounded" is a UK based charity which funds both the re-training and re-education of wounded servicemen and women with the aim of helping them find long term employment after they have left the Armed Forces.

Three teams (from the UK, the US and the Commonwealth) of wounded servicemen and women are embarking upon on one of the most high profile expeditions of modern times, racing across 3° to the Geographic South Pole. The teams will fly to Antarctica in November. Their aim is to reach the South Pole around 17th December 2013.

Team members are in the meantime enduring extensive training to be ready to the challenge. Team Glenfiddich’s Ibrar Ali and Conrad Dickinson performed VO2Max tests with COSMED Fitmate PRO during a session with the Speedflex training system, individually focused cardio and resistance training sessions in a group environment.
